The Beginning of my Favorite Season. DEJA VU.

It's that time of year again! :) Spring Training is about to start, and that makes me so excited for next football season (which everyone already knows). I wasn't planning on doing any photos of the football until the annual Husky Games, but I was convinced otherwise. Zach B convinced me to come out to something the guys did, and it was called "Deja Vu." Of course, I wasn't going to say no, I'm always up for photographing these guys. They may not know it, but they all mean a lot to me, and I consider them family! They all give me picture suggestions, and most of them work! They're awesome, and they're going to have a fantastic year! I can't wait to be out on those sidelines with them again! :) BRING THE HAMMER GUYS!

Katie Malone, Miss North Jefferson Area 2011

Being my sister, Katie is absolutely one of my favorite people! She's been through my journey of photography with me, and she's always there for me when I need her to do some modeling. :) She's going to Miss Alabama this year, and she couldn't be more excited! She competed in 21 preliminaries before she won Miss North Jefferson Area, and that made the moment she won even more special. I was at every pageant with my camera in hand ready to catch the reaction she'd have winning, and when that day came, I couldn't be happier! Today, I did some shots of her for Miss Alabama, and of course, we had so much fun! We went Downtown to Birmingham, and the weather was perfect! At our last location though, we actually showed up at a wedding, which was one of the highlights of all of the experiences I've had at shoots. I can't wait to see Katie compete in the pageant in June! I wish her the best of luck! :) I love you Katie!

Haley Bagwell, Miss Point Mallard 2010

I've had such a great year being the Miss Point Mallard Official Photographer! Haley is so much fun to work with, and the fact that she's beautiful, makes my job easier! We started off by going to the Alabama Theatre in Downtown Birmingham! It was my first time to shoot on that side of town, and it was amazing! We saw a ton of little kids coming back from the McWane Science Center and they of course got destracted by the Red Bull car that was parked parallel to Haley and me...instead of a "princess" as some of the kids called her. She talked to the kids that asked if she was a princess, and we had a few people stop and take photos of Haley to post on their Facebook walls. We then ended up in the streets of Downtown Birmingham, having to go with the sync of the traffic lights to even get in the street. We also had to beat the weather that day, and the sunlight that didn't want to stay with us, but we managed! I will be working at the March for Prenatal Health with Haley this Saturday! Haley is going to do great at Miss Alabama, and we wish her the best of luck! :)

My First Photo Contest

Hey Everyone! :)

I've finally entered my first photo contest, and it's sponsored by one of my very favorite photography websites, currentphotographer.com! I just wanted to use this blog post to just thank everyone for voting! I've waited so long to finally be 18, so I could actually enter one of these contests! The photo I entered is one of my very favorite from the 2010-2011 football season. I had the honor to be the "mushographer" for the HTHS varsity football team, and I can't wait to do it all again next year! :) You can vote once a day, so please vote as much as you can. I'd love to win this contest, so thank you for voting! :)

Haley R.

Haley is awesome! Her and I share love for great quotes, which is even more awesome! She came fully prepared with a ton of great outfits, but we narrowed it down to her favorite two! She came to take her Miss Hewitt photogenic photo, and little did I know that I was photographing the next Miss Hewitt for the Class of 2013! She did so great at the pageant! I love the photos that came out of this shoot. Before the pageant, I took a ton of motivational quotes to Haley, and they totally worked! I'm so proud of you, Haley! :)

Meri L.

Meri scheduled with me, and I was so excited! She's such a sweet girl, but very intimidating! She used to wrestle (until she moved), she does pageants regularly and she plays softball! The shoot was scheduled right after school, and luckily, I ran into Meri in the school parking lot. Her car battery died the day of the shoot! So, we hopped in my car, and went on to the shoot, and it went great! She submitted her photo to the photogenic category, and won! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the photos! Congrats Meri! :)

Tiffany L

Tiffany was the first one to contact me about doing her studio headshot for Miss Hewitt this year! Of course, I was so excited because she's my best friend! We had a great time on her photoshoot, and she has a great personality, so it was easy to capture that! She is beautiful, and I'm so happy I get to spend my senior year with her! She did great in Miss Hewitt, getting second place! Congrats Tiffany! :)

Will and Jake!

I was so excited when Will and Jake's mom called and scheduled, and I was even more excited when I found out we were shooting at the baseball field! We have gone to school together for as long as I can remember, and I can't believe we graduate in one semester! I had a blast today seeing them play baseball with each other through the lens. Thanks guys for a fun afternoon! :)

The Jacksons!

This was one of the best shoots! It made me wish I was a kid again! The Jackson kids ran around without a care in the world (and stopped for a few poses here and there), and I've never been so happy with the outcome of a shoot! It was so great to just basically relax, and watch them play through the lens. I'm so glad y'all are back in the south, and I had the opportunity to do this! Thank you so much! :)
